Inspection and Demo Needs.

Holes Technologies...
... We Can Scan It!

Holes Technology, L.P.

Since 1972, Holes Incorporated and its family
of companies has been on the cutting edge of concrete sawing, drilling, demolition and removal. Their dedication to concrete cutting research and development has lead to the integration of many high-tech tools and services that help customers save time and money on their jobsites. The newest company to the Holes Family is Holes Technology, L.P., which provides Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
Holes Technology is proud to offer clients
a wide array services including :
  • RADAR IMAGING
  • CONCRETE SCANNING
  • VOID DETECTION
  • AIR QUALITY TESTING
  • CONTINUOUS MONITORING

What Is Ground Penetrating Radar?
Concrete can contain a complex maze of rebar, pipe, conduit, tension cables and many other hidden objects. Cutting or drilling through these hidden obstacles can become a safety hazard and a very costly issue for the owner or contractor. Ground Penetrating Radar allows Holes Technology to virtually see through concrete and locate the hidden obstructions mitigating the risk of sawing or drilling through these obstructions. GPR is an all in one system for data collection, processing and imaging. The Holes Technology Technician can scan up to 36” of concrete, allowing the technician to produce a 3D image to accurately locate targets within concrete. The maze of objects can be mapped out on the concrete and a written report will be produced, including images of obstructions that were located by the GRP process.

What Are the Advantages of Using GPR on the Jobsite?
Holes Technology, L.P.
This complex, nondestructive technology requires access to only one side of the concrete object, unlike X-Ray technology which requires access to both sides, making it ideal for construction site use. Also unlike x-ray systems, GPR can be performed during regular business hours with others on location. Why rely on old surveys or blue print specs which offer only an approximate location of obstructions, the GPR system gives the client with pin-point accuracy the location of impediments and important unearthed structures. The system allows a Holes Technology technician to:
  • Easily inspect floors, walls, decks, slabs and other concrete structures,
  • Accurately locate rebar, tension cables, conduit and other obstructions while also measuring thickness of concrete,
  • View and access targets to a depth of 36 inches, and
  • Inspect vast areas of concrete with a non-destructive process.

How Long Does the GPR Process Take?

Analysis of GPR data is instantaneous. As seen in this photograph, a Holes technician can identify hazards, obstructions or voids on a concrete pad or structure which can then be interpreted for the client. The changes in pattern help to identify voids and other material which can be targeted or avoided in the drilling, or cutting process.
Is the GPR Process Costly?

The streamlined, efficient GPR system will save clients valuable time and money by avoiding costly mistakes. The GPR service is very affordable and can be quickly implemented by a knowledgeable Holes Technology technician. For an estimate on GPR services, please contact one of the helpful Holes Employees.
